A Website That Grew With Me
I’ve owned this domain since 2001, back when social media didn’t even exist. I originally bought it to motivate myself and learn more about staying healthy and fit as I got older. Over the years, I did stay moderately healthy… but not always.
There were stretches where I slipped into bad habits, lazy routines, poor food choices, and too many restaurant meals while consulting in IT. When I wasn’t part of a traveling team, I had better balance. I did eventually fall into bad habits and I started going out for lunch and dinner with coworkers, the weight crept on, 30+ pounds.
Eventually, I had enough. I knew that poor health leads to a shorter life, and I wanted to be here for my kids, and now grandkids, for as long as I can. So I made the decision to live up to the name of this site:
iLiveHealthy.com wasn’t just a domain anymore, it became a commitment.
